Polemarch’s Message

On behalf of the Brothers of the Bronx Alumni (NY) Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., I extend greetings and welcome. I am honored and humbled to be the 7th Polemarch of the chapter, affectionately known as “LoS Nupes”.

Chartered on February 20, 2009, the Bronx Alumni Chapter has partnered with various community based organizations and other D9 Sororities and Fraternities to provide a multitude of services here in the Bronx. Our most recent initiative was to install our Alpha Class of Kappa Leaguers (an arm of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. National Guide Right Program). Mentoring and supporting young men in the Bronx is just a small part of the commitment the Brothers of the Bronx Alumni represent.

This past year we were the proud sponsors of the Northeastern Province 9th Annual Kappa League Leadership Conference on the campus of SUNY Maritime College Campus. Borough President Vanessa Gibson declared March 9th “Bronx Kappa League Day”. Over 400 Kappa Leaguers, parents and advisors not only enjoyed a full day of S.T.E.M. workshops and activities but resulted in the greatest number of children not represented by the student population to ever assemble on campus.

At the Bronx Alumni Chapter, we have a saying: Be BXActive: Be Engaged. Be informed. In our 15 short years , the Bronx Alumni Chapter has been honored with various government and community organizations, as well as, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Northeastern Province Chapter of the Year 5 times and Reclamation 3 times.

As we embark on continual service to the Bronx community, the Brothers of the Bronx Alumni Chapter look forward to expanding our community partnerships and support for all New Yorkers. Thank you for visiting and we look forward to your support at our next community project or social event.
